Ibiza was the first of the islands claimed by the illustrious visitor from the Imperial House of Hapsburg, who described with clear precision the geography, landscape, fauna, flora, agriculture and customs of the Balearic Islands’ inhabitants in his work Die Balearen in Wort und Bild (The Balearics in Words and Pictures).
